Not even the Milanese rain could dampen the spirits and enthusiasm of
POWER-GEN Europe, POWERGRID Europe and Renewable Energy World Europe attendees
at the Fiera Milano City in Milan. Organized by PennWell Corporation the three
shows over a three day period attracted a record attendance of over 12,500
visitors from the international power industry.
Exhibitors at POWER-GEN Europe were clearly pleased with this
record attendance and expressed their enthusiasm for the show.
“POWER-GEN Europe is definitely the most important show for
Ansaldo Energia, particularly as we are at home in Italy”, said Paola Tarditi,
External Relations at Ansaldo Energia. “We have had a great and highly qualified
attendance at the show and we trust that this will bring good returns for
Ansaldo Energia.”
Suzanne Child Marketing Manager for Pratt & Whitney Power
Systems added “POWER-GEN Europe in Milan is the place to be. When we exhibited
in Milan before it was excellent, this year is even better. We have had a great
week at POWER-GEN Europe and the show has reaffirmed our position in Europe and
underlined our commitment to the region.”
“POWER-GEN Europe has been very good for us, attracting
visitors who are genuinely interested in our technology and the products we have
to offer,” observed Gordon McMurdo GE Energy’s Sales Manager. “With the power
generation industry growing exponentially, there has to be a step change and
visitors to POWER-GEN Europe want to know how we can support them. With our
portfolio we are confident that we have solutions that meet the needs of the
conventional and renewable power sector. POWER-GEN Europe provides us with the
platform to achieve this.”
Glenn
Ensor, PennWell’s International Director of Events concluded: “Milan has proven
to be a great venue for POWER-GEN Europe and its co-located events POWERGRID
Europe and Renewable Energy World Europe. POWER-GEN Europe in particular has
reached an interesting point in its development and by working with partner
companies like Ansaldo Energia, we will take the event to a new level when we
stage in Cologne Germany on
26 - 28 May 2009."
